This project is a collaboration between RMIT University, Monash University and the University of Manchester.
ARC DISCOVERY
This project aims to explore how Australian households can play an active role in the transition towards more resource-efficient living across energy, water, food and waste.
Recognising urban resource inefficiency as a complex environmental, economic and social challenge, the research aims to build a national understanding of household resource use and identify opportunities for meaningful change.
Working with householders, policymakers, government and industry stakeholders, the project will investigate key intervention points and develop practical pathways to support more sustainable household practices.
It will also contribute to a new conceptual framework for understanding how households can drive broader sustainability transitions.
The project aims to generate evidence and insights that support improved policy, service delivery and community outcomes, contributing to a more resilient and resource-efficient future.
